Privacy Policy

When you use TAKEOUT UK services, you are entrusting us with your personal information. This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it and options that are available to you. This is important and we hope you will take the time to read it carefully.

TAKEOUT UK uses the information we collect from all of our websites and apps for the sole purpose of providing a food delivery service. While maintaining the security of our operation and services, we also seek to improve our services and to develop new services while protecting our current users.

1. Data we collect, how we store and use it

Information about devices

We collect device-specific information such as your hardware model, operating system version, browser, or unique device identifiers. We do this to help you with any technical support issues that you may have as some issues may relate to specific devices. We also collect this information for analytical purposes in order to optimize all our platforms as well as to know our customers better.

Location information

When using TAKEOUT services, we may collect and process information about your actual location in both address format and coordinates. We use various technologies to determine location, including Google services, IP address, GPS and other sensors.

You can find your saved addresses or previously used addresses in your profile, where it is always possible for you to edit, review or delete these. We also store location information for each delivery order so that we can deliver your order to the right address and thereafter analyse the behaviour patterns of our customers so as to provide better and faster services in the future.

Personal data

This is information that you provide to us which personally identifies you, e.g. Your name, email address or billing information or other data that may be associated with your account and as such, be used by TAKEOUT to aid our delivery services. Typically, you will find this information under your account information.

When you create an account with us, we ask for personal information so that we can identify you when you log in and when you place orders. Additionally, we make use of this information to help us deliver your order in a satisfactory manner. You can always update this information under your profile or contact TAKEOUT if you either need help with this or want to have your account deleted.

Information from third parties

TAKEOUT collects information from third parties such as customer behaviour patterns, device information, location information and other information that is relevant to the services we provide. We do this to improve the customer experience and to provide our customers with support.

Users have the option to log in with Facebook Authentication where the platform complies with Facebook policies found on  https://developers.facebook.com/policy

Transaction information

We collect information about your orders (such as the food you add to your cart), including payment information (such as your credit card number), using the secure services of our payment providers. The payment activities are outsourced to our payment processors, which means that we do not store your credit card information in our systems. We also collect delivery information such as coordinates, address information, name of the delivery address and contact telephone number to complete each order.

Your transaction information allows us to process your order and send you an accurate and precise invoice. It also helps TAKEOUT and our restaurants to contact you if needed.

Feedback

As a customer, you have the opportunity to provide feedback on each order you place through our market portal. This information is collected in a variety of ways and, depending on the type of information, can be shared on the TAKEOUT system for others to see.
